Most of the time spent on an engineering assignment isn't the engineering. It's the reconstruction — retyping the problem, pulling out the givens, reshaping a data table, re-deriving the same setup before you can get to the actual work.
We built OpenEngine to take that part off your plate. You hand it an assignment, a lab, or a dataset; it lays out the problems, the givens, and the data as an editable workspace, then computes, plots, and works through the solutions — showing every step so you can follow it, correct it, and learn from it.
The goal isn't to hand out answers. It's to let you keep the judgment that makes you an engineer, and give the repetitive scaffolding to the machine. When something needs your call, it says so rather than guessing with false confidence.
Where we're headed
OpenEngine is early and moving fast. We're building it alongside the students using it — one real assignment at a time — toward a workspace that handles the full arc of engineering coursework honestly and well.
