Privacy Policy
1. Data Collection & Usage
OpenEngine collects data to provide, improve, and protect our services. When you use functionality such as the physics engine, document uploads, or generative prompts, we process this input to generate the requested output. We do not use your private engineering data or proprietary uploads to train our public foundation models without your explicit opt-in consent.
- Account Information: Name, email, and authentication credentials.
- User Content: Text prompts, uploaded PDFs, CAD files, and simulation parameters.
- Usage Data: Interaction logs, error reports, and performance metrics.
2. Data Retention
We retain personal information we collect from you where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so (for example, to provide you with a service you have requested or to comply with applicable legal, tax or accounting requirements). When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize it.
Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using OpenEngine, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use usage of the platform.
2. Academic Integrity
OpenEngine is designed as an engineering intelligence tool to assist in learning, calculation, and design. It is not intended to facilitate academic dishonesty, plagiarism, or cheating. Users agree not to use generated outputs to violate the academic integrity policies of their respective educational institutions.
3. Intellectual Property
Your Content: You retain ownership of all intellectual property rights in the content you upload to OpenEngine ("User Content").
Our Content: OpenEngine and its licensors own all rights, title, and interest in and to the Services, including all related intellectual property rights.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OpenEngine shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Engineering simulations are for educational and prototyping purposes and should be verified by qualified professionals before implementation in safety-critical systems.

Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to misuse the OpenEngine services. For example, you must not:
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network.
- Breach or otherwise circumvent any security or authentication measures.
- Access, tamper with, or use non-public areas or parts of the Services, or shared areas of the Services you have not been invited to.
- Interfere with or disrupt any user, host, or network, for example by sending a virus, overloading, flooding, spamming, or mail-bombing any part of the Services.
